Kathy Lockett is a very influential Woman of God who wears many
hats.
She is the Wife of Donald Lockett, a Mother and Grandmother to their
Children and Grandchildren, a legendary Gospel Music Promoter,
Gospel Radio Announcer, Co-Owner of two Radio Stations, and Co-Owner
of a Full Service Accounting Firm in Chicago, Illinois.
Mrs. Katherine C. Lockett is a native of Yazoo City, Mississippi and
was educated in the Yazoo County, Mississippi School System, Malcom
X College, and Roosevelt University.
Kathy has served as the Co-Owner of Phoenix Accounting and New Wave
Gospel Productions for nearly three decades and for years she has
faithfully served as the hostess and executive producer of New Wave
Gospel Radio that’s still heard on Chicago’s Inspiration 1390 – WGRB
and around the World on iHeartRadio.com.

Lord blessed Kathy and her husband Donald to purchase both stations
in 2012 debt free making them the first black radio station network
owners in Holmes County and Yazoo County, Mississippi.
Kathy is a member of the 2nd Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church
in Chicago, Illinois under the Leadership of Pastor Kenneth Giles
and Pastor Emeritus James Bass.
Kathy is also a member of many different community and civic
organizations as well. She is always looking for ways to lend a
helping hand to those who are in need.
Because of her work in the community and Gospel Music she has
received countless awards and accolades. Kathy is a dedicated public
servant who has a heart of gold and, whose commitment to spread and
share gospel music through radio and the events that she continues
to promote, not only in Chicago, but to the entire world,
distinguishes her as a truly devoted Christian Lady, a giver, an
astute Business Owner, educator, mentor and friend.
In 2014, Kathy established the Claude Lee Jefferson, Jr. Scholarship
Foundation in memory of her son affectionately known as Joe. This
venture will give deserving students entering college greater
educational opportunities for advancement.
There is so much more that could be said about Sister Kathy Lockett,
